The Florida Health Sciences Library Association was founded in 1961. The specific and primary purposes of the organization are to foster the development of medical libraries in Florida in accordance with professional standards, to inspire and educate medical library personnel, and to implement the exchange of library materials and services.

You are invited to join the Florida Health Sciences Library Association (FHSLA). Your interest in, or employment by medical or health sciences libraries is the only requirement to become a FHSLA member. You will receive the FHSLA ALERT newsletter, which provides information on meetings and professional activities, access to the online discussion list, and any additional mailings from the Association.

Annual meetings are held each year for the purposes of learning, networking and sharing. Several CE classes are also held at this time. Meetings rotate around the state and are usually hosted by one of the larger academic institutions. Take a look at our Annual Meetings page to learn more!

Our membership dues are $15.00 per individual for the year running from January-December. We have a great time together and invite you to join us!
