Dr. Charles R. McClure and Ebrahim Randeree of the Information Institute at Florida State University recently completed a needs assessment report as part of the 2007–2008 Evaluation Activities for the Florida Electronic Library grant. The report, Public Libraries and Consumer Health Information Resources and Services provides results that address and support the continued delivery and future development of medical and consumer health information services and resources through the Florida Electronic Library (FEL). Information Institute Hosts Health Informatics Symposium
Following a year of informal meetings among interested parties on campus, the first official meeting of a steering committee to pursue health informatics research at FSU was organized by and held at the Information Institute, College of Information on Thursday, August 21st, 2008.
